Temple of the Descending God
Look for the descending-deity relief on Tulum's Structure 5, a small temple near El Castillo. Its carved doorway detail rewards a deliberate pause that many fast circuits would miss.
The named deity also appears elsewhere at Tulum, so this building gives you a specific form to compare with motifs on El Castillo and the Frescoes Temple. INAH identifies it as Structure 5. Use the site plan and marked viewing route, since its map pin is approximate and the monument is viewed under conservation controls.
