Bengali Sunni Jamah Mosque
Bengali Sunni Jamah Mosque faces Sule Pagoda Road with a distinctive red-and-white façade. It makes Yangon’s Bengali Muslim history visible at the city center.
The mosque’s minarets and street-level frontage form an important part of the busy Sule area. Its location shows how Islamic worship developed close to Buddhist and Christian landmarks in the trading city. Treat this as a respectful exterior visit unless the mosque confirms visitor entry, especially around prayer times.
What to look for
Red-and-white details distinguish the façade.
Minarets rise above the Sule Pagoda Road streetscape.
Useful to know
View respectfully from public space.
Ask before entering and avoid interrupting prayers.
