Nikola Pašić Square
Nikola Pašić Square links Belgrade's civic buildings and the nearby National Assembly. It works best as a short outdoor stop on a walk through the city center.
The square is named for a figure who led both Serbian and Yugoslav governments. His bronze monument makes that political history visible in a public space near the assembly and Old Palace. Pause here to understand how several seats of government cluster around the same central streets.
What to look for
A bronze monument to Nikola Pašić stands in the square.
The National Assembly is close by.
Civic buildings and Pioneers' Park shape the surrounding area.
Useful to know
Link the square with the National Assembly and Old Palace on a central-city walk.
Treat the square as an exterior stop unless a nearby institution is your main destination.
