Palazzo Magnani Salem
This Via Zamboni palace holds the Carracci brothers' fresco cycle on the foundation of Rome. The main artistic payoff is inside the Quadreria, which has a controlled visiting arrangement.
Ludovico, Annibale and Agostino Carracci painted the Roman foundation story as a frieze in the palace's principal room. That shared commission offers a rare way to see the three painters working within one setting. The façade can be seen while walking Via Zamboni, but the frescoes require a planned interior visit.
