Why go
This walk suits visitors interested in the city’s northern historic edge as well as its familiar river panorama. St Ursula sets a quieter ecclesiastical tone before the Eigelstein gate marks the old city boundary. St Kunibert keeps the route close to the Rhine as you turn south toward Hohenzollern Bridge. Across the river, the boulevard offers space to look back at the old town and cathedral. KölnTriangle is an optional final viewpoint if you still want a higher perspective. The route favors short visits and walking over long museum sessions, with enough slack to linger where the river scene appeals.
