Why go

Choose this route for an open-air look at how the city changes from the station-side gardens to its older western edge. Start with a relaxed circuit of Jardines de la Agricultura and stop at the Roman Mausoleums before heading south to Puerta de Almodóvar. Follow the Cairuán Street Wall, then visit the Caliphal Baths if their current schedule allows. Royal Stables and Puerta de Sevilla carry the walk into the San Basilio edge. The baths are the only planned interior; they are optional so the route still works when access is unavailable. Allow extra time outdoors in hot weather, and check the baths’ visiting details before leaving.
