Khreshchatyi Park
Khreshchatyi Park offers a garden pause on the Dnipro slopes beside European Square. Playful sculptures and the Puppet Theatre make it more than a patch of greenery.
The park introduces a smaller, more playful scale after the civic buildings around European Square. Its castle-like Puppet Theatre and fairy-tale figures give you concrete things to seek out among the paths. It also belongs to the older City Garden landscape, so a stop here connects the cultural institutions with the river slopes.
What to look for
The Puppet Theatre building resembles a castle.
Fairy-tale sculptures stand around the theatre.
Look for the wishing tree and coin-eating frog sculptures.
Useful to know
Combine the park with European Square rather than confusing it with Khreshchatyk Street.
Allow for sloping ground when planning a park walk from the square.
