Why go
This route is for visitors who want a closer look at the layers of Macau’s historic peninsula. St Dominic’s Church starts the day in the busy centre; Na Tcha Temple and the old city walls show a smaller scale beside the fort. Fortaleza do Monte and Macao Museum reward a slower middle stretch, with views and indoor exhibits in the same hilltop cluster. Continue toward the Old Protestant Cemetery and finish with a pause in Camões Park. The park is optional if the climbs or museum visit take longer than expected. Wear comfortable shoes for the slopes and steps between the central sites.
