Na Tcha Temple
A small temple beside the Ruins of St. Paul’s offers an immediate contrast in scale and tradition. Its restrained form is easy to miss beside the monumental Jesuit façade.
The 1888 temple makes the historic centre’s layered religious history visible within a few steps. Dedicated to Na Tcha, it is a compact, simple building beside the surviving church ruins. Look at both sites together: the close placement says more than either façade alone.
What to look for
A compact, plain temple stands beside the St. Paul’s ruins.
Painted details sit beneath the entrance porch.
Useful to know
See it as part of a visit to the Ruins of St. Paul’s, not as a separate cross-city stop.
The neighbouring exhibition room keeps different hours from the temple.
