Mentzendorff House
Mentzendorff House brings a Riga merchant household into view through preserved rooms, furnishings and domestic spaces. It is an intimate Old Town museum beside much larger landmarks.
Moving through the former shop, kitchen and living rooms reveals how trade and home life shared one building. Decorative paintings and the house’s scale make everyday urban history easier to imagine than a broad chronological display might. It is especially useful after seeing Old Town’s merchant façades from outside.
