Seoul Highlights

Why go

Begin with Changdeokgung Palace Complex and neighboring Changgyeonggung Palace while your attention is fresh, then move into Jongno for a change from royal grounds to the working city. Follow Cheonggyecheon Stream east toward Dongdaemun Market and finish with an exterior view of Heunginjimun Gate. The sequence moves clearly from court history to contemporary street life, but it is already a full day. Keep Sejong Center for the Performing Arts as a westward alternative, and leave the southern or Jamsil-area detours for another outing.
