Why go
Place de la Comédie gives an easy start before the tighter Écusson streets. Pair Musée Fabre with the nearby Esplanade for art and open space, or continue through the cathedral and Jardin des Plantes toward the Porte du Peyrou. Antigone adds a distinct architectural contrast farther east.
Useful to know
- Group the cathedral, Jardin des Plantes and Peyrou on one walk across the western centre.
- Leave Antigone for a separate eastward extension if your time in the Écusson is short.
