Kìwekì Point
Kìwekì Point is a riverfront lookout behind the National Gallery. Terraces and paths frame Parliament Hill, the Ottawa Locks, and the meeting of civic architecture with the river.
Why go
The point opens a less formal view of the capital than the parliamentary forecourt. Pause at different terrace levels to see the locks and river relationship, then consider the Indigenous place name in a landscape that predates the national buildings. Its position links neatly to the gallery and Major's Hill Park.
