Fontana Pretoria
A Florentine fountain rebuilt in Palermo fills Piazza Pretoria with stacked basins, river figures and mythological creatures. It is an easy outdoor pause near Quattro Canti.
Francesco Camilliani designed this fountain for a villa near Florence before Palermo acquired and reassembled it. Walk around the basin to compare its four river allegories, then step back toward the town hall to see how the sculpture fills its adopted square.
