Why go
This route connects Rome’s ancient ceremonial core with the streets and piazzas that grew around it. Begin at the Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill, then cross the Capitoline before continuing toward the Pantheon and Piazza Navona. Trevi Fountain makes a lively final stop. The full legacy sequence is preserved as optional context, but the essential path stays realistic: choose extensions such as Trajan’s Market, Santa Maria sopra Minerva or the Spanish Steps only when energy, weather and opening access allow.
