Why go
Use Rotterdam as the modern, river-facing base, then add Delft and The Hague as distinct excursions. Delft centres on its churches and old gate; The Hague offers Binnenhof and Hofvijver, the Peace Palace, Mauritshuis, Kunstmuseum Den Haag and Scheveningen. The order gives each city a separate character: port and skyline, compact historic streets, then civic buildings, art and coast. The range is wide, so select a museum focus rather than trying to enter every landmark in one day.
Useful to know
- Give Rotterdam two days, Delft one day and The Hague two days, with coastal Scheveningen as a flexible addition.
- In The Hague, pair Binnenhof and Hofvijver with Mauritshuis, or choose Kunstmuseum Den Haag and Scheveningen instead.
- Confirm entry arrangements for government-adjacent sites, palaces and museum visits before setting out.
