From the Seoul World / Itineraries

Seoul’s Contrasting Sides

A wide-ranging day linking central temples and royal history with major museums, a traditional market and a selective look at modern Gangnam.

Seoul’s Contrasting Sides

Why go

Start at Jogyesa Temple before moving to Jongmyo Shrine and Gyeongbokgung Palace for a concentrated view of ritual and royal Seoul. Choose either the National Museum of Korea or the War Memorial of Korea rather than rushing both, then close the central sequence at Namdaemun Market and Sungnyemun Gate. Bongeunsa Temple and Starfield COEX Mall make a separate southern pairing for travelers who prefer a temple-and-Gangnam contrast; Bongwonsa Temple is another deliberate substitution. Treat the full list as ordered choices, not a demand to cover every anchor in one day.
