El Castillo Monument at Tulum
See Tulum's most commanding monument rising above the Caribbean. El Castillo is a brief but essential architectural pause within the wider ruins circuit, best appreciated from the marked viewing path.
Its cliff-top position ties the city's ceremonial centre to the sea below. Notice the structure's stepped mass before looking back across the surrounding buildings; that contrast gives scale to the rest of the site. This is a viewing stop rather than a climb, so pair it naturally with nearby temples on the same walk.
