Bidebarrieta Library
Bidebarrieta Library occupies a late nineteenth-century French eclectic building in the Old Town. Its façade rewards a short architectural pause on Bidebarrieta Street.
Bidebarrieta Library brings a nineteenth-century architectural layer to the narrow streets of Casco Viejo. Designed by Severino Achúcarro in a French eclectic style, its façade gives you a visible contrast with the old quarter's earlier religious buildings. Its current use as the municipal library also makes it a working civic building, rather than a preserved façade alone.
What to look for
The late nineteenth-century French eclectic building by Severino Achúcarro now houses the municipal library.
