The full story

Manhattan’s southern harbor park combines open water views, gardens, and memorials beside the Liberty and Ellis ferry departure, making it a natural orientation stop.

Use the park as an intentional harbor visit, not merely a waiting area. From its edge you can orient the islands and ferry routes, then cross between Castle Clinton, the gardens, and the memorials. The walk also connects directly to Bowling Green and the Lower Manhattan waterfront.

  • Open water outlook at Manhattan’s tip
  • Gardens and memorials along the ferry approach

Combine the waterfront path with Castle Clinton before or after the island ferry.
