Basilica Stoa
The Basilica Stoa occupied a long side of Ephesus's State Agora, giving the civic square a colonnaded edge. The surviving line helps distinguish this public frontage from the open square itself.
Use this stop to picture movement along a sheltered civic frontage rather than across the middle of the agora. Its long footprint shows how Roman builders organized a gathering place with built edges and circulation space. The precise structure is identified by the route and archaeological sources; inspect it from the signed path unless on-site signs expressly allow closer access.
