Nassau House
Observe Nassau House near St. Lawrence Church, one of Nuremberg’s notable surviving medieval residential towers. It is best viewed from the street.
Why go
Its vertical form shows how elite town residences could differ from the lower merchant houses on other old-town streets. The stop is best understood from outside, where the tower can be compared with its neighbors. It makes a short architectural detour while moving through the Lorenzer half of town.
What to look for
The medieval residential tower rises above nearby buildings.
Its stone exterior contrasts with adjacent old-town buildings.
Useful to know
View the tower from the street; an interior visit is not established.
