Art Museum Riga Bourse
A former stock exchange on Dome Square holds Riga’s principal collection of foreign art. It is a rewarding indoor stop when you want a wider European and Asian perspective.
The building’s Venetian Renaissance character gives the collection a fitting setting: art gathered through Riga’s commercial connections now fills rooms once tied to trade. Come for the contrast between the ornate halls and works from several regions, especially if your other museum stops focus on Latvian art.
What to look for
The former stock exchange includes a Venetian Hall.
Galleries show art from beyond Latvia, including Europe and Asia.
Useful to know
Allow extra time if a temporary exhibition interests you.
Combine it with Riga Cathedral nearby, then continue through Old Town.
