Arcadiane

Arcadiane, the former Harbor Street, runs west from the Great Theatre toward Ephesus's ancient port. Visitors are currently reported to have access only to its eastern section by the theatre.

Arcadiane

Why go

Stand at the theatre end to read the long axis that once connected the city to its harbor. The colonnaded street changes the scale of the theatre district, even on a short visit. Plan an eastern-section observation only: the western stretch toward the ancient harbor is reported closed, and the open limit should be checked against current barriers.

What to look for

  • The theatre-to-harbor street axis from its eastern end.
  • An open section of the historic colonnaded route.

Useful to know

  • Only the eastern section is reported open; do not plan to walk to the old harbor.
  • Follow current barriers and ask site staff if the open limit changes.
