Why go
The fourth route shifts away from the busiest monumental centre toward Roman infrastructure, sacred sites and lived-in districts. Begin with the Baths of Caracalla, then continue to St John Lateran or Testaccio according to your interests. The Aurelian Walls and the preserved catacomb stops add historical depth, but underground sites require separate access checks and should be treated as alternatives. Piazza del Popolo and the Pincian cluster remain optional legacy branches for visitors who prefer a northern walk instead of the southern sequence.
