Why go
The church makes the city’s Mudéjar style easy to read from outside: brick and stone walls, shaped entrance arches and the patterned apses show how local builders worked with several architectural traditions. Its position beside the old approach to Toledo also explains arrabal, the suburb in its name.
What to look for
- Brick and stone walls frame entrances with lobed horseshoe arches.
- The three apses carry tiers of arches in different forms.
- The church stands close to the Bisagra gates on the north side of the old city.
